Key Responsibilities:
QA Engineer supporting the continued design, development, and quality delivery of firmware & software applications for the Climate Controls Security (CCS) domain products at UTC
Good knowledge on validation of end to end embedded product testing, Client-Server application testing and Load Testing.
Knowledge on validation of Cloud applications.
Experience in validating embedded applications running on RTOS, Desktop and Mobile applications.
Experience in testing different communication protocols such as USB, BACnet, MODBUS, TCP/ IP, Wireless, BLE, RS 232/485 etc.
Hands on experience in any scripting languages (Pearl, Python etc.) and automation frameworks to automate test execution.
Should able to understand the schematic to debug any hardware level issues.
Should have hands on with measuring devices (Oscilloscope, Multimeter etc)
Good at manual and automated test execution. Good understanding of SDLC, defect life cycle and good knowledge on Test Management tool.
Create, Document and Execute the test cases that conform to the technical, functional & performance specifications for firmware and Software applications
Experience in understanding requirements traceability matrix & and also validate system interface at consumer level
Good experiences in Performing Regression Testing to verify and uncover errors
Experience with Model based Verification & Validation.
Document and present test results as per the QA policies and procedures, co-ordinate with the stakeholders and drive the status calls.
Contributes ideas on product and process improvements. Participates in design review sessions
Implements appropriate automation technologies to meet the short and long term goals of the company
Adhere to the Automation Framework for HVAC domain products and enhancements
Academic qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electronics/Electrical/Computers) with 4 to 6 years of embedded controls product validation experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Self-starting/self-motivating individual, able to plan and achieve goals with minimal supervision.
Must have good written and verbal communication skills and should be Organized, Punctual and pay Attention to detail
Can handle multiple activities at once to accomplish goals
Working close with development team to resolve issues.
Root Cause analyzing skills.
Follow the QA process and ensuring the quality delivery.
