•Proficient enough in SQL to interrogate databases to test the ETL on Microsoft SQL Server.
•Previous experience of testing large scale BI solutions integrating with multiple source and target systems.
•Understand the mappings of source systems to data models in the target data warehouse schema and analytical cubes.
•Previous experience of test management tools and defect tracking tools.
•Experience of testing data warehouse ETL processes and reporting
•Be responsible for the verification and quality of the data reported on to key stakeholders in the business.
•Test in house data tables and data pipelines by analysing user stories and then designing, writing and updating test cases and test scripts.
•Work closely with in-house and occasionally third-party development teams to identify and resolve defects in an accurate and timely manner.
•Responsible for the planning and creating of test scenarios, the raising of defects within the defect/change tracking system.
•ETL tool experience – Preference would be someone with SSIS experience but any other ETL experience would be plus for the candidate.
•Reporting tool experience – Preference would be someone with SSRS and Power BI or similar tools
