Your Key Responsibilities:
The SaaS Performance Test Engineer requires the candidate to automate and test availability, scalability, and reliability for SaaS-based API applications. As a part of an agile performance team, you work closely with development teams and QA leads to understand the automation requirements, create required automated tests using existing and new frameworks, and document current product capabilities and deficiencies.
Plan, estimate, design, and execute API performance tests
Create and execute automated tests using J-meter/Loadrunner/NeoLoad in a distributed environment
Automate deployment and real-time monitoring of Docker/Kubernetes environments
Execute automated baseline, load, stress, endurance, and any other non-functional tests as required against SaaS applications within the Amazon AWS cloud environment
Perform analysis on resource utilization, garbage collection, reports, logging, and any other available resources to verify performance
Work with stakeholders to provide automated graphs, reports, and other required documentation required for analysis
Create and monitor defects in the formal defect database to resolution
Collaborate with business and application owners to improve overall performance as needed
Your Technical Experience:
5-7 years of relevant experience as an IT Performance Automator/Tester
Strong problem-solving skills
Independent worker, but also works well within a small team and is willing to assist and/or train other team member with less experience as needed
Strong written and communication skills is a must
Proven experience automating and executing API (Create, Read, Update, Delete) operations within a performance test
Proven understanding of JSON/XML payloads and how to programmatically extract specific content
Good understanding and troubleshooting of Linux Operating Systems
Good understanding of networking, especially cloud-based networking within the AWS environment
Experience with 3rd party API tools for debugging (i.e. Postman, SoapUI)
Working knowledge of Windows/Linux OS’
Experience with basic database access tools and queries for debugging; especially automated
Experience with JIRA
