Form a working knowledge of Jaspersoft products to understand key functions and underlying technologies in order to design and implement automated test coverage and test resources.
Analyze results of continuous tests runs to provide feedback to all involved team members, troubleshoot test failures on product, test suite and infrastructure level.
Develop, maintain and extend existing test coverage and test resources.
Review submitted test plans and coordinate with the manual QA team to ensure that test plans are complete, correct and suitable for automation.
Assist with strategy and framework design for a scalable, stable, extendable and robust test framework that will serve as a foundation for measuring quality and stability of our code base.
Assure quality and excellence in product, test suite, communication and collaboration.
Drive innovation and improvements.
Candidate Qualification
Requirements:
Proven experience (4-8 years) with designing and/or implementing scalable, Java based automated test frameworks with focus on Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Spring, web services (REST) or similar.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong QA background: proficient with QA tool stack for test case management and issue tracking.
Strong desire to continuously learn new products and technologies to keep up with the latest features and functionality within Jaspersoft products and test suite components.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional distributed teams across multiple time zones (India, Europe, US west coast).
Detail oriented with a passion for quality.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field from a higher education institution.
Desirable:
Proficiency with developer tech stack: git, IDE, Ant, Maven, Jenkins.
Striving for an environment where code reviews and audits, static code analysis and continuous testing are part of day to day responsibilities and emphasized by every team member.
Practical experience in scaling and tuning test suite and test environments for rapid test execution.
Proven experience with any database systems and application servers; ability to configure and troubleshoot these.
Scripting experience (Bash, Python) is a plus.
Experience in JMeter and performance testing.
ISTQB certification.
