The QA Automation Engineer candidate must be a self-motivated individual who has a proven history of building automated framework and delivering high quality test results. Strong experience in testing with extensive knowledge of Automation Framework, Design & Implementation of high performing APIs using Python. Candidate must be capable of reviewing requirements objectively, work with Business Analysts to understand the impact of changes to assist debugging and enhancing ICE Data Services applications. The QA automation engineer will also teach and mentor other team members on Automation.
Responsibilities
Strong background in functional testing with the ability to design and develop comprehensive automated test strategy, test cases, and build automated framework.
Ability to facilitate automation of a large set of existing manual testcases for a complex and variety of datasets.
Must be very good at debugging and creating proof of concepts for new automation tools.
Must be able to automate Dynamic datasets in the application using Python.
Experience in API test automation.
Good experience in creating test scripts using WebDriver, Selenium Grid in Python.
Experience on working with TestNG for Automation testing Reports.
Experience in data- driven test using Excel.
Good Experience in writing XPath to locate web elements.
Understanding of SQL scripts.
Validation of Large data from Data Base
Used Excel and XML files for Data Driven Automation testing.
Knowledge on any other automation tools is an added advantage.
Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science or equivalent with 6 to 8 years of experience in a quality assurance environment.
In-depth knowledge of automation tools.
Minimum 4+ years of experience developing in Python.
Experience in test requirement analysis, test scenario design and implementation.
Flexibility to move across different languages, technologies, and frameworks.
Strong ability to work in fast-paced environment and ability to multitask with ease
Experience testing software in both Unix, Linux, and Windows systems
Good understanding of performance and security aspects of software development
Knowledge on any other automation tools is an added advantage
