We are looking at hiring Senior Engineer QA for the Tools team at Informatica who shall be responsible for conducting the functional tests. He/she will test and critique software components and interfaces in great technical depth, write test programs to assure high product quality, and develop advanced test tools to increase productivity and efficiency
Desired Skills
Good to have knowledge on Java
Knowledge in Web application testing,Security Testing, Accessibility testing
Clear understanding of Database concepts.
Able to write Selunium/perl scripts.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop test plans, test cases based upon functional and design specifications
Design, develop and maintain test cases in JUnit/TestNG.
Execute test cases and analyze and report test results to product teams
Participate actively in functional, system and regression testing activities
Work closely with the development team to analyze, debug and resolve any issues
Participate in product functional reviews, test specifications, documentation review
Collaborates effectively with peer engineers and architects to solve complex problems spanning their respective areas to deliver end-to-end quality in our technology and customer experience
Influences development managers to insure appropriate levels of quality on owned technologies.
Influences and communicates effectively with non-technical audiences including senior product and business management
Able to estimate and perform risk analysis for large features.
Conducts technical interviews. Able to judge candidates all-round suitability for a position
Your Qualifications
BS/MS/MCA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical degree
4-8 years of experience in testing using Java.
Experience in developing API test cases by using Junit/TestNG
Experience in UI automations tools like Selenuim
Strong knowledge in RDBMS and experience writing SQL scripts
Strong working knowledge in Unix/Windows Operating system
Excellent problem solving, analytical skills and technical troubleshooting skills
Clarity and precision in verbal and written communication
Familiarity with software development life cycles and agile programming methodologies
In-depth understanding of large complex software systems to isolate defects, reproduce defects, assess risk and understand varied customer deployments
Ability to learn new skills quickly as needed
