Responsibilities:
Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools
Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
Monitor debugging process results
Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
Requirements
Due to this position's nature, the applicant will need the ability to work from home or during off-hours as necessary. Candidates must have:
5-7 years of experience as a QA Engineer
Must have the knowledge with Selenium java automation
Technical Skills- Selenium, java, TestNG
Knowledge in API functional & automation
Ability to work in an agile/scrum development process.
Ability to convert business use case to a test scenario & test cases.
Participate in design reviews, define Quality Metrics and implement new process to improve test effectiveness.
Ability to perform UI Manual and automation testing using selenium java
Developing and maintain new test scripts for the test application.
Ability to optimize the regression suite for any new improvements.
Defect management and effective reporting to stakeholders.
Assist developers and other stakeholders in debugging issues.
Good communication and User interaction.
Ensure timely update of risk and mitigation to the project stakeholders.
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
Knowledge ETL testing, and API Testing
Experience of working on Large Data Sets is a plus
Having the knowledge of data warehouse concepts is a plus
Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
Strong verbal and written communications skills (English)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems or related disciplines
