Education and Experience:
5+ years experience in Manual & Automation testing.
Experience in Virtualization Technologies.
B.Tech/ M.Tech/ M.C.A – Computer Science or related degree.
Skills required:
Work experience in Software Testing on embedded platforms
Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance methodologies and Industry standard SDLC models
Experience in writing comprehensive test plans and test cases
Hands-on experience in black box testing
Knowledge of protocols like TCP/IP, SNMP, SMTP, Modbus etc.
Knowledge of security testing tools like Nessus
Knowledge of scripting languages like Ruby/Perl/Python
Experience working on all aspects of Cloud testing and diverse knowledge on REST Webservices, Mobile App and Browser Testing, Performance Testing, Load and Stress testing.
Good Experience working on Virtualization technologies like VMWare, Hyper-V and other HCI Technologies like Nutanix, Cisco Hyperflex and HP Simplivity.
Hands-on experience using industry standard Test Management and Defect Management tools like JIRA, Quality Center and TestRail
Experience in setup and configuration of hardware and software test environments.
Superior problem solving, technical passion and drive, excellent communication and analytical skills
Should be a good team player.
Additional preferred skills:
Prior experience with Schneider APC products (NMC, Powerchute..)
Demonstrated high-performance behavior (straightforward in communication, Challenges for improvements, Open in accepting feedback, Passionate about technology and QA work, Effective in executing tasks/work in timely manner)
Job Duties:
As a member of global Software Quality Assurance organization, Software QA Engineer performs following duties:
Analyze requirements and contribute towards testing strategy. Design automation test plan, execute tests.
Generate defect and enhancement tickets per test results. Work with developers to ensure product quality is continually improved during the project.
Work with Agile and waterfall team stakeholders – developers, project management, leadership team and ensure project meets quality targets
Report out status of work and maintain high quality of work standards
Participate in team events, including learning conferences, workshops and R&D initiatives.
Be an active member in the group and share expertise to coach other members in the team.
Research and propose areas of improvement for QA execution using latest technologies and automation frameworks.
Qualifications
Any Engineering Degree
Overall 5 -10 years of experience is required.
