We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. QA engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing tests and debugging. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics. The QA technician role is essential to our company's product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure the smooth running of the software and for meeting client needs while being cost-effective. We'd like to meet you if you have an engineering background and enjoy providing end-to-end solutions to software quality problems. Ultimately, you should monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.
Responsibilities
Analyse the project requirements
Assist in providing Test Effort Estimation for the project
Support in delivering test plans for the project
Perform Manual Testing for new releases, work along with the development team and business team to deliver requirements with good quality
Co-ordinate QA activities for a team and allocated projects
Understand the requirements and get clarifications from the client if needed
Guide team members on the testing process in any assigned project
Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management
Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements, isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes
Mentoring and coaching team members
Key Skills Required
Proven work experience in software quality assurance
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and cases
Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
Expertise in handling automated testing tools
Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
Knowledge of working in an Agile/ Scrum development process
Experience with performance and security testing is a plus
