The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for the manual testing of software applications in test. Including design, document and implement Manual test plans for new projects, report and manage defects, assist development with replicating and debugging problems and develop test Manual solutions as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and execute Manual test scripts
Evaluate tool sets and coverage
Evaluate, plan, design, develop, and maintain test scripts for all applications
Analyze formal test results in order to discover, document and resolve defects
Provide reporting and documentation for testing efforts and results
Communicate test estimates, test progress and test results to project stakeholders and management
All other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must be a skilled user of Microsoft Office tools and OS’s in general
Experience in working in a team of Quality Assurance and/or Manual test engineers
3+ Years’ experience with one or more of the following: JIRA or other Manual TCM/Defect tracking tool
Some experience with Continuous Integration Servers (such as Jenkins/Hudson) is highly desirable
1-2 years coding experience with object oriented programming (Visual Basic, C#, C++, VB Script, etc…)
Query experience in SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle or other DB
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Experience with the analysis of effective Manual test cases
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
Software development cycle knowledge (design, code, source control, quality assurance, test and deployment)
Familiarity with AGILE methodologies (User Stories, Backlog grooming, etc…)
Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment to meet aggressive goals and high quality standards
Ability to work under pressure on a number of different projects simultaneously
Minimum Qualifications
Previous hardware/software/firmware testing experience required
Excellent knowledge of MS PowerPoint and MS Office
Previous experience with Software Manual
Previous experience working with both Windows
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
