Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:
Participates in all stages of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to ensure technical completeness and accuracy. Monitors product development progress throughout the software development lifecycle. Implements and executes quality activity per the requirements of Landmark
Analyzes end user requirements, business requirements and testing requirements from the Requirements documents and understands the Performance Impact on the product
Participate in the full software development lifecycle (requirements derivation through delivery), with an emphasis on building in quality at every stage
Identify, influence, and implement SDLC/STLC and QA best practices across the delivery and testing teams to drive end-to-end improvements
Establish the overall direction, scope, and strategy for Quality Assurance; ensure compliance with, and understanding of, this strategy by QA team members and others
Identify gaps in the quality assurance and testing processes, generate solutions, and drive continuous improvement
Lead the development of test strategies based on a project’s Business Requirements document, functional requirements, design documents, user stories and user acceptance criteria
Identify and map test cases to requirements; design test coverage plans; facilitate reviews with cross-functional team members
Ensure test plans are created, reviewed, maintained; participate in project and release planning; support implementations and go-lives
Collaborate with QA counterparts to define resourcing needs to meet QA demands
Hire, Train and manage both onshore and offshore resources
Supervise and coordinate QA personnel to provide technical and efficient service to the organization; estimate and manage resource demand.
Direct staff, set operational objectives and business goals; establish and monitor performance measures
Communicate application readiness, level of quality, and results to management and stake holders
Collaborate with development teams to analyze defects, determine root causes, and drive solutions to prevent recurrence
Identify delivery risks due to quality issues; collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement mitigating strategies; ensure timely escalation as needed
Implement quality standards and benchmarks; develop and track key metrics
Conduct operational quality audits to ensure compliance with best practices
Enable creation of robust regression test suites for re-use on identified projects
Adheres to QA standards. Stays current with industry processes, trends, and techniques
Owns the Performance Strategy and road map to achieve QA delivery excellence
Focuses on self-development, team development and meets organizational goals
Provides leadership to and is accountable for the performance of managers and/or senior level professional staff
Impact of work is most often at the operational or local business unit or market level

Additional Responsibilities and justification:
We currently have Managers dedicated to Manual, Automation and Data QA teams. The Sr Manager would be working across these teams
The Senior Manager will help in implementing the process improvements in line with Test Maturity models across the QA teams
We will have more projects coming up along with Project Unity (Project Harmony, Migration of other applications to Ubiquity, Cloud migration, Certifications like G10). The Senior Manager will be handling QA Delivery of some of these projects
The Senior Manager would be mentoring and provide guidance to the existing managers
Will need Sr Manager to implement best practices

Required Qualifications:

BE/BTech/BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
Core skills: 15+ years Development or Quality Assurance Experience, contemporary software quality assurance processes with a focus on Performance testing
12+ years of overall experience in software QA, with at least 5+ years in a direct management role servicing the QA needs
Experience in Healthcare domain
Experience in leading Automation and Performance QA teams
Extensive experience leading teams for start-to-finish and end-to-end manual functional testing
Experience should be sufficient to allow successful candidate to make “best judgment” decisions successfully when direction is unclear or rapidly shifting
Significant experience successfully delivering projects/results in a fast-paced IT environment
Experience in coaching, supervising, and coordinating personnel to provide technical and efficient service to the organization
Proven track record managing testing-related activities following any SDLC methodology
Proven record initiating and leading change – both technical and process
Demonstrated success working collaboratively to drive results in a matrixes environment that requires managing multiple high priorities simultaneously, taking charge and escalating appropriately
Strong interest and participation as a coach and a mentor to junior members of technical team
Ability to develop and share best practices for various process improvement efforts in the QA Organization. Submits potential improvement areas in the defects tracking system related to functional, performance, security, and penetration testing. Interfaces with product development, support teams and other organizations to resolve those defects
Ability to set goals, conduct performance reviews and assist in staff development; participate in hiring and training; promote succession planning; provide coaching and mentoring

Preferred Qualifications:
ISQTB Certified Tester (at least Foundation Level) 
Experience working in Regulatory industry
Experience with the unique challenges in Non-Functional Requirements, Compliance and Regulatory in the healthcare vertical
