Position Overview:
We need a self-sufficient automated test engineer with experience verifying a variety of features in the Telit deviceWISE family of products including our display builder, our database transports, APIs for our portal, cloud connector interfaces and driver testing.
Responsibilities:
Develop test plans and create tests for deviceWISE products and features including our display builder, our database transports, APIs for our portal, cloud connector interfaces and driver testing
Define, analyze and write software tests to verify new features and error paths associated with those features
Write and maintain automated test cases
Design test cases to verify features based on standards, RFCs, internal requirements and high-level designs
Execute and log results of manual and automated test cases
Test the platform firmware that includes networking stack and services, and drivers for the various I/O interfaces
Provide details bug analysis and identify the impact of the bug
Analyzes test cases and write detailed bug reports and test reports
Support development team to reproduce and resolve firmware issues
Understand relevant protocol specifications and RFCs from various standard bodies. Ex., IETF, OPC Foundation
Qualifications:
Hands on experience in testing network protocols such as TCP/UDP, HTTP is a must
Hands on experience in programming languages such as Java is a must
Web application testing
Experience automating tests for SOAP and REST services and testing both XML and JSON formats
Experience using automation test frameworks like Angular, Selenium, JMeter, Postman, etc.
Experience in automation testing of web application is a plus
Experience in I/O protocols such as Modbus, OPC etc. is a plus
Experience testing databases (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.) using SQL queries
Familiar with Windows and Linux operating systems
Experience using issue tracking software to track and verify defects found during testing
Has working knowledge of testing methodologies
Self-driven and a quick learner
Good communication (oral and written) skills
Experience working with cross functional teams
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
7+ years of industry experience satisfying the above requirements
Preferences:
7+ years of experience using Java
Experience with Angular framework
Hands on experience with Agile/Scrum development process
Experience using Jenkins and Git as a part of continuous integration testing
Experience using issue tracking tools like Jira
Experience testing embedded factory or industrial solutions
Team lead experience
Experience working with remote teams
