Test as well as automate functional scenarios
Perform writing and executing test plans and test cases including manual and automation tests
Configuration of test environments with different computer hardware and operation systems,
Verify test results, documentation of tests results and reporting of status, troubleshooting issues.
Be able to quickly ramp up and understand the current product, its functionalities and various areas of testing.
Self-motivated, resourceful, enthusiastic and good in soft skills.
Handle multiple priorities while keeping all deliverables on time.
Desirous to work in a fast-paced team environment
Desirous to work on automation as well as execution, as needed
Participate in test plan discussions for an ongoing Releases.
Continuously improvising on tests, Identify test gaps and come-up with ways to bridge those gaps.
Participate and take ownershipin CI/CD discussions and implementation
Collaborate with all the team members
Demonstrate passion for quality, innovative approach to solving problems and customer-first attitude are required
Provide guidance and direction to junior team members technically. Coaching and mentoring skills as needed.
Strong analytical thinking and ability to analyze and optimize existing software applications for purpose of maintenance or redesign.
Experience:
MS/BS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related field of study
Experience: Minimum 4 to 8 years in Software QA.
Experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum
Technical skills:
Strong Test Automation experience using Groovy, Jenkins, ROBOT and Python
Good OS, Sys Admin knowledge on any UNIX, RHEL/SLES OS
Good scripting skills for E-E test case automation (ROBOT, Python)
Good experience in storage, virtualization and databases
Experience with Veritas backup products would be an added advantage
Good troubleshooting skills.
