Primary duties and responsibilities:
Actively test software developed within the team using both manual, automated and performance testing tools.
Participate and contribute extensively to requirements analysis, design, QA test plan development, defect review, QA results analysis, sprint review, project planning sessions.
Participate in technical troubleshooting sessions and provide technical assistance to infrastructure, networking, security and monitoring teams to build highly available and evolvable distributed platforms
Work closely with Professional services and Sales teams to provide support to launching/sustaining key customer relationships.
Help build our next generation development environments using the latest technical improvements in the field of Cloud Computing (Azure), Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), SCM tools like Ansible, SQL/NoSQL databases like MySQL, CouchDB.
Integrate new tests and software with code analysis/review tools and CI build environments.
Review code/design/architecture to ensure the platform is highly available, fault tolerant, easily maintainable and extensible.
Actively develop unit, feature, load/stress tests in an Agile delivery environment.
Actively test, develop & enhance script scripts and support Java based Fitnesse test framework and Perl based frameworks
Have the ability to analyze and solve complex problems quickly and creatively
Good written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s in computer/Software engineering
Minimum years of work experience: 5+ yrs
Required skills:
Strong experience in backend automation testing using scripting languages like Python
Performance/Benchmark testing, Load testing, Server-side testing/Integration testing
Hands on Azure Cloud Provider and it services.
Hands on experience with Linux (CentOS),
Hands on experience with Agile/Scrum development, Jenkins, JIRA/Crucible, APIs, Networking, MySQL, Github, K6, JMeter, other OpenSource tools.
