Zscaler is looking for an experienced and agile Senior QA Engineer with Automation that has a unique combination of skills. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in the software development lifecycle and will be responsible for improving overall quality assurance outcomes by applying problem-solving skills, QA best practices, and various tools. The environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to take the initiative and manage ambiguity to drive effective results. This role may interface with customers, subject matter experts, technical experts, developers, and other QA engineers located globally and in different time zones.
The Senior QA Engineer with Automation will report to the QA Manager of Software Engineering. The Software Engineer will have end-to-end ownership of features starting from testing, automation (if applicable), deployment, and helping with monitoring of the feature(s).
Job Responsibilities
Recreate complex customer and production-reported issues to determine root causes and verify the fixes.
Identify missing scenarios from the regression suites and create them to enhance the product quality
Review product specifications and write the test case, develop test plans for assigned areas in the Product team for Cloud Browser Isolation
Ability to design test plans with clear separation of functional, integration, regression, and exploratory tests to ensure application quality.
Engage in test case execution, including defect documentation and tracking, resolution support, and fix verification.
Assist in the development and delivery of training to cross-functional teams
Follow an iterative software development methodology and contribute to all software development lifecycle and support phases.
Support the Product Test Team during a release certification
Automate test cases from the missing scenarios of the regression
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience testing software for cloud-based products
Must have strong communication skills and the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
Must be very hands-on, passionate about quality, and willing to collaborate with multiple teams for system testing
Have an understanding of cloud infrastructure and solutions.
Process Oriented mentality with the ability to think out of the box
Demonstrable experience in testing within Web Technologies and/or API-related space
Hands-on experience programming in Java using the Selenium framework
