Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:
Define test strategy for identified scenarios from petroleum engineering perspective
Author test cases, test data for identified scenarios
Maintain the test repository in open-source tool or Jira stories for manual test cases.
Manual test execution from engineering and Domain Perspective.
Must have knowledge of manual test strategies Frameworks.
Maintain existing test scripts and test cases and develop new ones based on new requirements.
Perform regression and defect testing activity in manual mode.
Defect logging.
Good understanding of Well Drilling and Well Completion
Expert level of experience in O&G domain (On-Shore and Off-Shore)
Predicting for future well developments and working proactively within team
Be accountable for Guiding the team for proper Test data, Test scenarios and
Work in liaison with Product owner, Support and Services teams as needed.
Quality Assurance regression testing, ticket testing of bug fixes with collateral damage validation, interface and integration testing, environmental testing on multiple platforms.
Status reporting to test lead/manager
Will work with technical staff to isolate and reproduce problems with software. 
Review of user manuals.
Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
Understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies.
Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.
Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope/delivery dates.
Apply Petroleum engineering principles in validating the requirements for Upstream Oil & Gas Production optimization Software functionality, configuration and usage

Qualifications
Experience & Education
Required:
B.Tech / BE / M.Tech in Petroleum or engineering discipline

Preferred:
At least 3 to 5 year of software testing in Oil & Gas and total 5 to 7 years of experience.
Experience working with well modelling and network modelling software
Previous experience working with production optimization software.

Knowledge, Skills, & Ability
Required:
Communication skills, customer interaction, knowledge of upstream Oil & Gas industry
Familiar with Agile Scrum development methodology.
Ability to translate requirements into a solid test cases.
Strong knowledge in Petroleum Engineering calculations and apply the same to derive the test data and expected test results
Strong diagnostic skills to track, troubleshoot, and identify issues.
Ability to take minimum direction and work well with team.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and Detail oriented.
Minimum two years of experience with testing medium to large engineering software projects in Oil and Gas upstream industry
Ability to work on multiple projects at a time with various priorities.
Off hours availability with remote teams.
The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
Self-starter with correct aptitude and attitude driving for results

Preferred:
Worked in software industry in petroleum consultant capacity.
Experience in Digital Oilfield, Production Optimization, Smart Field, Intelligent Field Development Technologies, Engineering and Business Computer Applications, SCADA, Telecommunication, System Development and Implementation. Domestic and international project experience.
Experience with testing web applications with C# and .Net
