The Role:
The Test Lead reports directly to Capability Lead - Testing and is responsible for delivering test activities directly to the project/ project support team
Works largely independently within defined projects/work streams and is checked on end results.
Has an executional role in design and development projects or acts as an expert tester who designs test scripts and provides overall project guidance and planning support.
Advises internally on solving functional and technical problems regarding the assigned applications and Infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities include:
As a Test Lead you will be responsible to plan and undertake end-to-end test activities such as test effort estimation, test script development, test execution &defects management
In some cases, the Tester will develop, data sets and data migration test plans
Work collaboratively with Test Manager / Business Analysts in project to assess test scenarios and provide test requirements based on risk-based testing methodology.
You need to manage the work in respective functional area to enable effectiveness and efficiency in meeting the targeted testing SLA and business continuity.
Involve in executing test approaches for new projects that require test services from the Test Team.
Develop Change Request/Data Request test scripts, test conditions, input test data and expected results – especially those that require integration between modules.
Able to work with testing tools such HPALM, MS VSTS, HP UFT or Worksoft Certify QTP
Create, run & maintain scripts for manual and automated testing in the areas of functional, performance & interface testing.
Ever-green documentations in their respective areas e.g. in the Test Library.
Work with the Test Manager /Business Analysts / Functional Team to resolve any issues that arise out of the testing process.
Participate in improvement initiatives.
Test script development will be based on test scenarios prepared by the Test Manager/ Business Analysts.
Act as the coach for the new team members with regards to their role and processes, as Test SME
Create Integrated test plans including E2E integration testing ,end user identification and training planning accounts and set up end user test accounts
