Design, implement and maintain manual test assets to ensure desired level of quality and test coverage.
Ability to create test cycles based on the risk and phase of the testing – system testing, system integration testing, end to end testing and regression testing.
Ability to guide junior test engineers and represent scrum team from quality engineering prospective.
Contribute to the estimates on the test engineering efforts for various features and new initiatives as part of definition of done.
Execute and manage manual test cases and results; report on test execution progress and defect metrics
Contribute to robust, scalable and high quality master regression test suite for functional, regression and performance testing.
Collaborate closely within your scrum team to drive testability in solution design and promote best test engineering practices in the development process
Establish traceability and coverage through effective mapping of test cases & scripts to acceptance criteria as defined in user story
Advise and apply best test engineering practice, and supporting tools and technologies to specific features and projects
Undertake any other tasks assigned by your manager that you have the capability to perform safely in line with relevant internal Group policies and external regulatory requirements.

Your skills & experience
Essential:
6+ Years of experience as a Test Engineer – extensive collaboration across agile and waterfall teams
Sound technical understanding of software testing practices and life-cycles
Working experience in IBM Open Pages testing.
Demonstrated experience in playing a senior role in testing by guiding junior test engineers and representing
Demonstrated experience in creating test cases and executing them.
Demonstrated experience in creating risk based test cycles during different phases of testing for large scale Web applications using industry standard and/or open source tools
The ability to analyse complex technical requirements, review architecture documents and solution design, and determine appropriate test approach and best engineering practices based on technical design.
Sound understanding and/or working knowledge of Test Driven Development (TDD).
Experience in:
Testing large scale web applications with multiple integrations – IBM OpenPages.
Creating and executing test cases in agile environment.
Creating test cycles based on risk and phase of the testing.
Maintaining and updating master regression test suite periodically to align with the ongoing functional changes in the application.
Experience in writing and executing test cases in Jira
Experience in maintaining traceability of test cases.
Exposure to test automation tools like Selenium, LISA – will be added advantage.
Additionally exposure to the following would be highly advantageous though not essential;
Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD) and DevOps
Cloud technologies and experience building cloud based applications
Containerisation technologies and tools such as Docker
