Responsibilities:
Review technical requirements with quantitative models terminology and produce test strategies, scenarios and test cases.
Analyze Pricing data to identify pricing model problems
Responsible for validating statistical and mathematical models
Strong background in functional testing with the ability to design and develop comprehensive automated test strategy and test cases using an existing and mature framework.
Work with existing test automation team members to facilitate automation of a large set of existing manual testcases for a complex financial domain application.
Ability to perform root cause analysis and debugging on existing automated test scripts.
Ability to execute existing and new automated test scripts on a regular basis using programs that leverage Continuous Delivery/Continuous Integration frameworks like Jenkins and Test, Defect and Requirement management softwares like ALM and JIRA.
Work with quality assurance leads in enabling complex testing strategies multi-tiered based architecture.
Strong background in reviewing business, functional requirements, and test cases in order to produce a functional test automation strategy and test scripts.
Experience participating in all aspects of a full-lifecycle development methodology, and related quality concepts and processes.
Performs troubleshooting software / hardware configuration problems.
Ability to work well with team members and colleagues.
Knowledge and Experience
Python - min 3-5 years - Required
Java - min 5 years of experience in Core Java or demonstrably strong knowledge and fluency in Core Java and Object-oriented design concepts (similar experience in C# is acceptable)
Selenium - min 3-4 years of experience using Java or C# bindings.
GIT - Strong knowledge
SQL - Strong knowledge
Maven - Strong knowledge (Knowledge of Gradle is acceptable and a plus)
Jenkins - Strong knowledge including creating and maintaining Pipelines via Groovy DSL.
TestNG - Strong knowledge
Very Strong Programming and problem-solving skills with the ability to write clean, maintainable code.
2+ years experience with commodity markets, financial trading environment, or equity brokerage business and exposure to futures markets;
Ability to interpret quantitative algorithms and understand Spreadsheets containing financial formulas.
Ability to implement quantitative algorithms and develop automated tests using a scripting/programming language.
Ability to write and execute customized SQL queries against Oracle DB.
Ability to calculate customized statistics on large sets of data.
Ability to understand and use spreadsheets containing financial engineering formulas.
Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (Python, Java)
Understanding of Webservice standards (SOAP, REST, WSDL, XML, JSON etc.)
Track record of completing assignments on time with a high degree of quality.
Ability to set and adjust priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
B.S. or higher in Computer Science or related discipline.
Ability to work independently and productively under pressure.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
