Crucial Duties and Responsibilities:
Experienced with PV activities relating to test planning, automation, and tests execution for telecom software products
Working experience in the development of test strategy, test planning, manual & automation test development
Experienced in manual & automation test execution of NMS/EMS based telecom products
Worked in an Agile development environment with experience testing either In-scrum or customer vertical use cases, performing multi-functional workflows using API microservices
Understanding of solution, system performance, load, and stress testing
Lead and perform QA and PV Testing of software products using manual and automated ways.
Required to learn, understand and build test cases from requirements
Backend and front end testing: Rest API testing automation tools
Build detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases
Identify, record, document thoroughly and supervise bugs using Confluence, TestRail and JIRA
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
Manage multiple concurrent projects to deliver committed features on time with good quality
Prepare and present reports/metrics to Senior Management
Foster an environment of continuous improvement in software engineering practices and product quality in terms of performance, scalability, availability and flexibility
Work closely and optimally with other software development teams as well as product line management, architecture and product support teams
Technical Skills
Experience working with Microservice Based Architecture: Dockers, Containers, various DevOps tools
Thorough understanding of OAM&P-based products and their project lifecycle, including Service Layer Management, Inventory Management, and Connection Management. Experience with northbound OSS interfaces (REST/TMF)
Solid understanding of Enterprise based network management software solutions in a Unix/Linux/VM/Cloud-based environment
Development experience in Python, JavaScript, Postman, and Selenium
Knowledge of Unix based scripting tools including Perl
Knowledge of databases like Oracle, MySQL, Cassandra is plus
Experience:
A minimum of 7 years of experience in software QA, PV, Regression, performance testing, QA methodologies, tools, and processes
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
Hands on Experience with Linux Operating system and JIRA
Hands on Experience with Postman and similar tools for API Testing
Hands on Experience with Shell Scripts, Ansible and Python
Awareness of CI/CD tool like Gitlab for automated jobs and pipelines.
Awareness of some monitoring Nagios , Performance Metrics -Kibana, Logs- Graphana
Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Experience with Enterprise networking technologies, network management concepts are a plus
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Should be adaptive to the processes, tools and technologies used and should contribute continuously to the improvement of self and team
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/IT/Computer Science Engineering or equivalent
A minimum of 7 years of experience in a software automation testing role
