We are seeking experienced and skilled Senior Testers to join our team for scanner testing. The Senior Testers will be responsible for defining addressable test sets for different technologies, including database-oriented testers (Netezza, Google Big Query, DB2, Hive, etc.), MF environment (JCL, CICS, DB2, etc.), ETL-oriented testers (Informatica, SSIS, Talend, etc.), ERP such as Salesforce, programming languages such as COBOL, JCL, Java, Python, etc., and data warehouse (Snowflakes, Pentaho, Sab Business Objects, etc.). The Senior Testers will work with the automation team to cover all aspects of the technologies and ensure the quality of the scanner testing. Understand the business context of the organization
Define addressable test sets for different technologies
Collaborate with the automation team to cover all aspects of the technologies
Develop and execute test cases and test scripts for different technologies
Identify and report defects and track them through to resolution
Analyze test results and provide recommendations for improvements
Work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure that testing is integrated into the software development life cycle
Participate in project planning and estimation
Keep up-to-date with emerging testing technologies and methodologies
Provide regular updates to project stakeholders on testing progress and issues.
Experience in etl testing ( good in db, data lakes, bigdata (Hadoop), etl tool, schedulers – we can have a mix and match of skills and again ability to learn is critical. Today there is 80 tech supported and tomorrow it can be much more.
Experience in multiple test tools like talend, informatica etc
Demonstrable experience in learning fast
Understand testing, in language oriented environment
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
At least 5 years of experience in software testing, with experience in at least two of the mentioned specialized areas
Experience in defining test sets for different technologies
Strong knowledge of database-oriented testers, MF environment, ETL-oriented testers, ERP systems, programming languages, and data warehouse testing
Experience in developing and executing test cases and test scripts
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and ability to multitask
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
