About the Opportunity:
Prescient has an opening for an experienced and passionate Associate Tester to assess software quality through manual and automated testing. He or she will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches, and writing test cases. The role requires an understanding of cloud-hosted enterprise-grade platform testing, and functional and non-functional testing. QA automation skills would be a valued addition.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in requirement grooming meetings; review and analyse requirement specifications
Ensure all development tasks meet quality criteria through test planning, test execution, quality assurance and issue tracking
Write and execute extensive test cases (manual or automated) and analyse results
Report bugs and errors to development teams
Required Experience and Skills
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer application
At least two years of QA experience in testing web and/or mobile applications
Sound knowledge of test development methodology
Knowledge and experience of testing cloud-hosted solutions
Ability to construct test cases and get them prioritised based on changes
Proficiency in programming languages such as C# and Java
Experience with testing frontend and backend APIs of web and batch applications
Experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban)
Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
