We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer in Testing to join our team. You should value expertise and a passion for the craft of Software Engineering. You should be able to recognize and stay up to date on current techniques and tools, but also be prudent knowing what is and isn’t a good fit.
Key Responsibilities
Integrating with the development team to provide efficient manual and automated testing throughout the entire development lifecycle.
Troubleshooting web applications – verifying reported live issues, identifying their underlying cause and seeing them through to resolution, liaising with development and product management teams where appropriate.
Automating functional and regression tests using well-structured maintainable code.
Championing testing, effective test automation and good testing practices.
Actively supporting agile development methods and best practices.
Supporting and actively work towards test-driven development.
Helping to improve processes and procedures.
Raising descriptive, concise and useful bug reports.
Producing clear and concise test reports and release notes when needed.
Quickly acquiring new testing and technical skills and working with new technologies with little support.
Working with other testers and development teams to ensure the spread of good practices and knowledge.
Assisting with the setting up and configuration of test environments.
Carrying out tool evaluations and selections.
Taking part in talks and knowledge shares.
Work and communicate effectively in a team environment
Leverage your ideas and experience, but be open to the ideas of others
The Requirement
BE, BTech or MCA with minimum 4-5 years of experience in Software Testing.
Experience with automated test scripting in any object-oriented programming language targeting web applications, microservices.
Experienced with testing Microservice, Database and Web Applications.
Hands on experience preparing test environment, test data as per requirement
Experience in database, performance and security testing will be an added advantage
Working experience with Source/Version control systems (e.g.: Git)
Experience in Agile development methodologies preferable.
Experience in employee benefits, insurance, healthcare, or wealth management preferred
ISTQB certification preferred

Good at communicating ideas as well as hearing others
Available for flexible work schedule to have overlap with US onshore teams.
