We are seeking a talented QA automation engineer to design testing procedures for our cloud software applications. In this role, you will be responsible for analysing the functionality of applications and designing automated tests and validate their performance. You will also be required to identify bugs, install relevant testing tools, develop automation frameworks and collaborate with the software design team. To ensure success as a QA automation engineer, play a key role in the development of a product offering-level system validation automated test environment for validating DAAS(Drone as a Service) product offerings
Specific Responsibilities:
Meeting with the software product team to discuss functional requirements
Identifying software application weaknesses and target areas.
Defining and developing automated test plans, test cases, and procedures
Developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts
Delivering automated scripts as per plan
Performing limited manual testing as required to gain domain knowledge and facilitate test execution
Collaborating with development teams to create component and system test plans, test framework, and code.
Reviewing technical documentation for accuracy and correct content.
Sketching out ideas for automated software test procedures.
Identifying quality issues and creating test reports.
Collaborating with the product team to solve application faults.
Qualifications: BE in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Relevant Experience:
5 + years of experience working in Test Engineering or Test Automation.
5 + years of experience collaborating with development teams to create component and system test plans, test framework, and code
Desired Skills & Characteristics:
Previous experience working as a QA automation engineer.
Advanced programming skills including Selenium, Protractor, Appium, Cypress
Familiarity with programming script languages including JavaScript, TypeScript
Programming experience in Python, C# or equivalent
Test Framework Development (Open source or Custom)
Ability to implement an automation framework from scratch
Hands on API testing using Postman, RestAssured or Pytest
Excellent analytical skills.
Detailed knowledge of application functions, bug fixing, and testing protocols.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
