The Software Quality Analyst acts as a key leader in the development and execution of software quality methods and processes. Typically responsible for tests, methods, and procedures to ensure continuous improvement to software quality assurance standards
This position will be responsible for
Develop, execute, and document software test plans using both automated and manual testing to ensure products meet design specifications.
Assist with transforming manual test documentation into automated test scripts.
Present progress and results of automated testing efforts to appropriate teams
Continuously improve upon the productivity and efficiency of our testing efforts using innovative tools and techniques.
Utilizes test standards, procedures and functional specifications for test approaches.
Maintain automated testing environments in a continuous integration setting
Setup/configure/maintain automated testing environments in a continuous integration (CI).
Job description
Minimum 8-9 Years of Relevant Experience in IT Test Automation.
Programming language skills (preferred Java)
Hands-on experience in OOPs concept and exception handling
Expertise in functional / manual testing
Expertise in test automation tools (preferred LeanFT)
Expertise in preparing the test scripts
Expertise in APIs & Web Services testing
Good understandings of BDD approach
Hands-on experience in TestNG and Cucumber frameworks
Good in test execution reporting skills
Good analytics skill to understand the business requirements
Expertise in Test Cases Design and Test Data management
Expertise in tools like PostMan, SOAP UI, WinSCP, Oracle, Jenkins, GitHub and AppDynamics.
Should be well versed with Agile testing and Continuous Testing
Experience with Test Management tools
Knowledge on JIRA or Version One tool
Understanding of SAFe Agile methodologies
Strong problem solving skills
Should be solution-oriented and have problem solving aptitude
Should have excellent communication and presentation skills
Knowledge on Logistics domain will be an advantage
Good to have Performance Testing experience.
Knowledge on Jmeter / Performance center will be an advantage.
Any certifications in test automation
Key Responsibilities
Write, design and execute automated tests by creating scripts that run testing functions automatically
Maximize test coverage for the most critical features of the system
Determine the priority for test scenarios and create execution plans to implement these scenarios
Write documentation for automated processes including test plans, test procedures and test cases
Build test automation frameworks
Prepare the test execution report to share with business stake holders
Log and document bugs in the tracking system
Set up Continuous Testing
Qualification
BCA, BE/ B Tech (CS), MCA or equivalent degree.
Relevant certificates like ISTQB will be an added advantage
