Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for the creation of tests to identify issues with software before the product launch. Duties include identifying and analyzing any bugs and errors found during the test phase and documenting them for review after. Other tasks include developing and running new tests, reporting on the results and collaborating with software developers to fix program issues.

Analyze stories/requirements, Create QA artifacts including tests scenarios/cases (test scripts) and reports, identify software problems, analyze bugs and errors found during tests, Convert manual regression scenarios to automated test cases. Emphasize is on automation and ensure that automated tests are integrated and executed reliably in the CI/CD environments.
Plan and work flexibly to meet the deadlines, Analyze and/or implement corrective action for root cause analysis/fixes or corrective action of defects.
Implement Functional/Integration/Regression and System testing, discuss fixes with developers & Re-test fixed defects, Optimize the testing process and Document the test cases and the results, maintain traceability (QA Documentation)
Work as a member of an Agile SCRUM team delivering high-quality software in two-week sprints
Contribute to the success of the Scrum team through active and collaborative participation in sprint planning, daily scrums, and sprint retrospectives
Develop an in-depth level of knowledge of the scrum team’s supported products Able to review the user stories, acceptance criteria, design BDD test scenarios, test cases.
Research and compare similar competitor products, Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends and advancements

Education/Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and 9+ years of relevant experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of commonly used QA concepts, practices, and procedures.
Intermediate/Advanced level of knowledge in all of the following would be preferred: Familiarity with SAFe/Agile concepts, Testing Development, Testing tools/solutions, Testing types (functional, regression, integration, UAT, Performance, Security, etc.,), Testing frameworks and Testing process including Reporting and Metrics.
Intermediate level of knowledge in all of the following preferred: XML, SQL & database tools, scripting languages, system automation. 
Must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding in the following areas: Testing and QA related software development using Java and various testing tools (Selenium, QTP, Load runner, HP Performance center, Reporting tools, Jenkins/QA integration, Security testing tools, Git, etc.,), test frameworks like BDD ideally with cucumber (TDD knowledge)
Experience with integrating QA automation as part of a Continuous Integration (CI) process using Jenkins or similar tools.
Experience with Test Automation of Web Applications using Selenium (Java) and Cucumber (Gherkin).
Experience working with relational databases and working knowledge of SQL. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Basic understanding of and willingness to learn and adopt professional and industry standards.
