Job Description

In this role you will:
Break down problems and estimates time for quality related tasks
Demonstrate increasing expertise in application domain and functional areas
Apply various testing types and methodologies effectively during SDLC
Take ownership of tasks and deliver without supervision while using their discretion to seek help when necessary
Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques
Write effective tests according to best practices so that crucial functional requirements are verified and tests remain valid when code is refactored
Collaborate with development team in bugs fixing and build plans and Quality Leaders in creating test plans.
Implement and configures testing tools and at times help junior staff
Implement system-level integration testing
Be skilled in core data structures and algorithms

Required qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
4-6 years of professional experience in software testing and automation

Required technical expertise:
Experience in defining system verification and validation strategy, implementation and release
Data driven application testing, Good knowledge on Python, ETL/Data Warehouse with ability to write complex SQL joins and queries would be helpful
Automation on Selenium, Cucumber or Robot Framework or BDD preferably for Cloud application and microservices based deployments

Proactively engages with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and design solutions using critical thinking and analytics skills and best practices by actively incorporating input from various sources
Strong analytical and strong problem solving skills - effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions; anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve
Continuous improvement oriented – actively generates process improvements; champions and drives change initiatives
