Roles and Responsibilities:
Translate business requirements into test cases and delivery BI projects in partnership with our internal working group
Responsible for validating the data sources, extraction of data, applying transformation logic, and loading the data in the target tables
Design, document and execute test plans, test harness, test scenarios/scripts & test cases for developed BI tools
Work closely with Sr Director and Principal Product Manager to scale testing services as part of GS BI Team
Produce appropriate testing documentation to a standard requirement
Manage defects including raising defects, ensuring that all relevant information is logged with ongoing reporting and progression through to resolution
Required Qualifications
Candidate should have 4-5 years of experience with BI & Analytical solutions
Experience in Data Warehousing / BI Testing, using any ETL and Reporting Tool with Oracle / SQL Server / Tableau/Power BI
Extensive experience in writing and troubleshooting SQL Queries
Exposure to Data Warehousing and Dimensional Modeling Concepts
Experience in understanding of ETL Source to Target Mapping Document
Experience in testing the code on any of the ETL Tools – Tableau Prep/Alteryx
Experience in Validating the Dashboards / Reports on tableau reporting tools
Hands-on experience and strong understanding of Dashboard Testing
Good experience of Quality Assurance methodologies on Agile and Scrum
Well versed with writing detailed test cases for functional & non-functional requirements.
Experience with different types of testing that includes Black Box testing, Smoke testing, Functional testing, System Integration testing, End-to-End Testing, Regression testing & User Acceptance testing (UAT) & Involved in Load Testing, Performance Testing & Stress Testing
Expertise in Confluence/ JIRA / Excel for writing the Test Cases and tracking the Defects
An effective communicator with strong analytical abilities combined with skills to plan, implement & presentation of projects
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to UX design, Research and Design thinking principles
