Job Description

As a Software Tester in one of our RISE teams, your knowledge and enthusiasm for delivering quality will help ensure a solid test approach is followed and satisfactory levels of test coverage are applied to flagship TransUnion UK Credit products ensuring they meet client requirements and regulation.

How You Will Contribute
Partner with global TransUnion technical teams to test products and features aligned to the RISE roadmaps using agreed technologies & tooling working closely with the Tech Lead, Senior Testers and UK based Software Architect & Test Lead
Actively participate with the UK development teams using an agile approach ensuring testing is considered at every stage of development delivering consistency, quality whilst aligning with community best practices.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional technology teams using the SCRUM methodology.
Assist and support your colleagues as required.
Follow test approach, scenarios and acceptance criteria for the evolving solution with the aim of validating requirements at the earliest stage of the development process
Organise, specify and carry out testing throughout the development lifecycle
Communicate effectively with stakeholders and internal teams to ensure reported issues are resolved as quickly as possible.
Extend and run regression tests appropriately to support the release of the new service through the route to live.
Assist in the extensive, yet appropriate, automation of tests to deliver maximum repeatability
Assist in finalizing and updating Test Approach and Test Summary reports along with any other required supporting documentation to ensure adherence to compliance processes.
Support the culture of continuous improvement to enable process and team maturity improvement.

What You Will Bring
5-8 years’ experience testing software testing including API testing
Experience of testing in an agile lifecycle
The desire to maintain high quality and good practices
Experience of running automated tests and deployments (e.g. Selenium)
A good understanding of version control practices
The ability to communicate well, both with technical and non-technical staff
Excellent English language skills, with the ability to collaborate with teams based in US, Lithuania and UK
Knowledge or experience of testing Web Service APIs (e.g. using ReadyAPI)
Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Desirable skills
Ability to maintain automation test frameworks
Experience of agile acceptance test tools (e.g. SpecFlow)
Familiarisation with SOA
Knowledge of SQL Server
Experience of testing on cloud platforms
Experience of non-functional testing
Knowledge of Gherkin or Cucumber syntax
Ability to write glue code (C# .NET)
