The Test Engineer performs various diagnostic tests and analyses to create a process that would best test a particular product in manufacturing and related disciplines in order to assure that the product meets applicable specifications.
General Responsibilities
Collaborates on the design, development, and implementation of cost-effective methods through testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment for all phases of product development and manufacturing
Key participant in test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products
Organizes the schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices
Ensure that programs are in compliance with standards for good laboratory practices good validation practices and maintain quality.
May be responsible for setting the parameters and testing customer samples
Use automation tools and methods for testing the released firmware and ensuring the quality.
Verify and validate Firmware
Develop Test plan and test cases
Experience / Qualifications
A university degree with 4-6 years of required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience as below -
Familiarity with safety-critical software design techniques and methodologies
Experience with unit test platforms for embedded targets such as Ceedling
Experience developing in LabVIEW/ Matlab/ HIL.
Knowledge of compilers/assemblers and linkers (8/16 or 32 bit)
Working knowledge of electrical schematics and component datasheets
Working knowledge of lab equipment: oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc
Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
Additional desirable skills and experience:
Windows development with MS Visual Studio,, and C# / Python
Basic Embedded C Coding
Experience with GitHub/GitLab
