Job Description

In a typical day as a System Test Engineer in 5G domain, you would:
• Participate in different Agile ceremonies
• Part of the System test SCRUM team, you will
• Define and execute non-functional tests like endurance, robustness, performance, usability etc.,
• Contributing to User Stories based on the expected behavior of the System depicted as Test Cases
• Release Planning based on Test Effort and Defects
• Sprint Planning based on User Stories and Defects
• Sprint Execution with Continuous Testing
• Reporting Test Results
• Automation Testing

Experience and Skills
Education and domain skills
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communication Engineering/Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent
• Experience: 3-6 years ( minimum 1 year in 5G core testing )
• Domain : Telecom

Mandatory skills
Experience in Software solution integration and testing in telecom domain with some expertise on following areas
5G Telecom Domain knowledge on one or more of 5G core NF’s like AMF, SMF, UPF, UDR, UDSF, AUSF, UDM, PCF, CHF, NSSF, NRF functionality and different call flows.
Configure and setup test labs and create test plans and document results.
Hands-on experience of 5G core testing tools/ 3rd party vendors(5G Landslide Spirent test tool/ 5G valid8 tool / 5G key-sight tool.. )
System test (Non-Functional) and Performance Testing and Troubleshooting.
Hands on experience with Linux/Unix
Hands on experience on cloud platforms ( kubernetes/ dockers/ openshift/ azure/ aws/ gcp .. )
Exposure to BDD framework like cucumber.
Experience in Building tools that automate the development, testing, and deployment of software applications.
Troubleshoot software issues working with different stakeholders to solve technical issues.
Support deployment of the software in production networks
Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Good to have:
Ansible, python, Shell and Jenkins Groovy working knowledge.
DevOps experience with CI/CD pipeline (like Jenkins), automated testing platforms and chaos monkey testing.
Experience in creating Dashboards using Grafana

Soft skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to combine teamwork with individual contributions
