Job Description

Responsibilities:
Management of Project Test activities for a particular Customer/Project. This includes Scene viewing, Computer Vision, Software ,Design Verification and Image Quality departments
Daily communication with R&D Project Manager to understand the project milestones, customer priorities, test progress, bug reporting, weekly test reports, etc
Liaise with software Lead for software deliveries, bug fixes
Act as Software test lead for planning and co-ordination with SW test engineer for  Software Testing and review of Software Test Reports
Liaise with hardware engineer on hardware testing and HAT reports
Liaise with image quality engineer on IQ test reports, vehicle test reports/issues found  
Liaise with mechanical engineer on mechanical testing and MAT Test report
Liaise with algorithm function owners whenever required
Liaise with system requirement engineer to ensure customer requirements are understood and testable
Escalation of issues to test lead Manager and R&D Project manager
Provide daily and weekly report on all test areas to test lead manager and R&D Project manager
Present on weekly calls to customer to show test progress, main bug issues and highlight areas of support from the customer where needed
Ensure that the project has sufficient and appropriate test resources for delivery to the customer. Provide data to test lead manager on reason for each test resource needed
Create timing plans for planning of resources and tracking test progress. Keep up to date for each planned software delivery
Follow up with test engineers to insure test specifications are complete and base lined for each software release
Ensure the test team follows the system test process, e.g.  Correct document/report templates, traceability according to System Requirements and System Architecture requirements
Responsible for the Test team to ensure compliance to Automotive SPICE Requirements  processes, participate in SPICE audits internal and external for the project
Follow up with Test Engineers in Scene Viewing Group, Computer Vision Group and DV Test Group that all HIL/SIL, Manual Test Benches, Automated DV Test Racks, Labcar test benches are on track and available for the planned testing.
Participate in PM project daily and weekly meetings
Organise daily meeting with the test team to discuss priority and progress
Organise weekly test meeting to review Open Issues list and other new project deliveries
Host/Prepare for customer workshops on-site and at customer site
Review and approval of System Integration Test Specifications and System Test Specification and ensure specifications are base lined before test starts on each software delivery
Review and approval of Test Reports before sending to Software Quality for each software delivery
Ensure all System Testing and DV testing are complete according to customer expected timelines and highlighting in advance any possible delays
Ensure the development of test environments for new applications are in line with customer expectation
Involvement with Engineers for innovation and development of alternative test solutions to existing applications e.g. automation development
Ensuring sufficient test capacity for Internal/External labs, Test Equipment and Test Vehicle availability
Drive standardisation within the teams for Automated Test Tools, Test Racks, and use of software tool
Drive suggestions for efficiency within the group and communicate to other test leads
Review of Customer Conformity matrix to understand customer deliverable from start of project and express concerns of any test requirements to Project Test Manager
Negotiate with Customer on project specific equipment and Test Vehicles needs
Responsible to plan/prioritise tests/equipment updates on the Project Test Vehicles
Manage the Valeo Resident at Customer site for testing needed on cars or assist with other applicable tasks
Raise P.O's and track the Equipment cost for the project
Responsible for 5S and Health & Safety on the work area of the Project
Travel to customer site and supplier for issue resolution whenever required
Support  departments new initiative and improvement plan whenever required

Education/Training
A relevant Technical Engineering Degree e.g. Bachelors / Masters in ECE / EEE / E&I / Automotive Electronics
Expert knowledge in testing and validation processes
Good understanding of electronics and hardware design
Good understanding of software
Automotive industry background 
ISTQB Foundation  or Manager Training – Desirable
Experience with Functional safety testing domain - Desirable
