Introduction:
Ensures that the products produced by Product Engineering are fit for purpose through the generation and validation and execution of robust test plans.
Manages the defect cycle ensuring that defects are tracked and successfully resolved
What will you be doing?
• Provides Testing support to Product Engineering
• Execute the Product Engineering test process and artefacts.
• Coordinate with colleagues regarding proper test procedure, review techniques for test basis and validate test case definition.
• Underwrite the quality of Test Plans.
• Liaise with Product Owners, Architects and Engineers to identify and assess new development or configuration tasks with the functions and objects affecting them.
• Use defect management to ensure defects are successfully resolved.
• Escalates of all test-relevant topics, participates in conflict resolution in the test environment.
• Timely identifies and escalates environment issues, data gaps and appropriate administration
• Ensure that test environments are maintained and remain “Fit for purpose” for the programme of project deliverables
• Work on testing phases of different products in conjunction with the product owner

• Experience of testing within agile delivery teams, with an understanding of how different roles contribute to testing on an agile project using test driven development cycles
• Accountable for execution and implementation of assigned transactions, projects or tasks.
• Assists manager in development of policies/procedures and managing day-to-day activities.
• Responsible for day to day execution of own deliverables.
• Performs duties within own area with little guidance from line manager.
• Good cross functional knowledge/exposure.
• Understands and complies with all applicable governance, compliance and risk policies and procedures.
• Escalates breaches of policies/procedure appropriately.
• Consistently meets client needs within time, resource and (where applicable) budget
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Bachelors/Master’s Degree
• 8+ years of overall IT experience in Testing for Windows based desktop applications, Infrastructure testing and MS office application suite.
• Extensive knowledge of Testing lifecycle and core testing process/techniques using different test approaches
• Experience of preparing test documentation including test plans, test scripts, defect reports and progress updates.
• Experience of executing test scripts.
• Defect management including providing accurate reproduction steps
• Automation testing experience for desktop based applications.
• JIRA/Confluence tool awareness and hands on
• Lean Control Tool (LCT) tool awareness and hands on
• Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle
• ISTQB testing qualifications
