Roles & Responsibilities:
Successful applicant will be expected to contribute and take ownership of all ETL Testing deliverables and execution, follow all test practice guidelines, and also work in future towards automation of documented test cases for Data warehouse testing.
Candidate will have to take full knowledge of all the upstream and downstream applications of the Data warehouse and its architecture, productive in executing ETL test cases for releases and follow current test practice in first 30 days. In 60 days understand the overall project test practice and programs, In 90 days understand overall organization test practice and programs.
Successful applicant will be joining a relatively newly formed testing team which is responsible for setting up testing processes and ETL testing for BI-ETL COE supporting Data warehouse of different applications.
Working as a QA on successful ETL Data warehouse migration/conversion programs supporting enterprise scale applications or projects
Provide inputs in test planning and strategizing test approach, prepare test cases, build SQL queries for testing Data warehouse ETL process and enable walkthrough sessions for stakeholders for reviewing the same.
Undertake test execution, document test results and prepare comprehensive test summary/test reports for effective reporting to stakeholders.
Contribute to estimate the work allocated on test activities for creating/modifying/executing Test cases.
Identify the discrepancies in data quality/data completeness/data accuracy, investigate the discrepancies to analyze the issues and triage with the development teams for resolving them.
Document defects and follow the defect management life cycle to track, maintain defect logs and resolve the reported defects.
Report any anomalies in ETL process, be part of DWH releases process, ensuring quality assurance in ETL or dashboards fixes.
Build a regression suite of ETL test cases and as a future state, identify and build automation framework for testing of the regression suite.
Participate in the development of technical documentation and user manuals wherever assigned.
Be a self-starter and take independent responsibilities proactively.
Demonstrate good interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with team members and all the stakeholders of the project.
Closely working with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Testers and Development team members on requirements, clarifications, and issues to sort out the bottlenecks in quality deliverables on time.
Builds knowledge on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies.

Relevant experience and expertise in writing medium to complex SQL queries to validate business logic employed in Data warehouse transformations.
Relevant experience in validations of database views against SAP BO reports and BI dashboards (Preferable: Qlik View).
Relevant experience in working with Informatica PowerCenter/Informatica Cloud to run workflow sessions, monitor session success/failures and analyze mappings.
Experiences in working with test management tools like JIRA for test case management, defect management, requirement traceability and dashboards
Good understanding of agile scrum and kanban methodology and working in a scrum team.
Good understanding of testing lifecycle and defect management.
Exposure on ETL automation and BI dashboard automation frameworks.
