Position Responsibilities:
Subject matter expert in the Integrated and automated functional testing areas
Design Testing Strategy and Testing Framework in the areas of End to end testing
Identifying and recommending the automated testing processes and tools
Define and publish key performance metrics for the automated testing
Provide leadership, guidance, training and mentoring to implement test automation across project teams
Candidate must have extensive experience dealing with different Vendors as well as Business stakeholders.
Candidate must have experience in software configuration management concepts and processes of managing a software system throughout the testing lifecycle
Communicate both in writing and verbally (in English) to support status reviews and reporting of test findings, issues and risks.
Analyze change requests, customer issues and relevant facts to determine testing estimates and risks.
Oversee technological execution of the recommended automation solution roadmap across project teams
Participate in Design and Architectural reviews of proposed automation solutions across project teams
This role is expected to always look for state of the art testing tools which will be required in the context of the Statement of Work. Periodically carry out Proof of Concept for the new Tool
Assist engineering management team with the technical presentation of proposed automation solutions
Responsible to ensure Boeing Security Standards are compiled with in defining the Testing Strategy and Testing Framework.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Knowledge of the integrated development environment
Understanding of SDLC (Waterfall and Agile) from Detailed Design to delivery of code
Key requirement is an ability to quickly learn and stay current with new technologies.
Understanding of web, mobile, API and database testing technologies
Knowledge in Selenium, UFT and a scripting language like Java, Python, C# is good to have
Ongoing knowledge of automated testing industry best practices and trends
Experience with test automation and test management tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in an unstructured, fast-paced environment
Strong Oral and Written skills (MUST be able to speak English clearly)
Support skills including working with other departments in the company
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Knowledge of different Testing methodologies
Well versed with Functional testing and experience in automated functional testing as well
Knowledge of multiple test automation frameworks, for functional and load testing
Agile Software Development Lifecycle Processes and Methodologies
Understanding of primary models of test automation frameworks, (i.e. data driven, keyword driven, hybrid, and behavior driven)
Knowledge of containers and virtualization
Knowledge of mobile automation tools
Knowledge of automated build management tools
Typical Education & Experience:
Typically 8-12 years related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (eg. bachelor, master, etc) preferred but not required
