WD is seeking a talented and experienced engineer for the Automated Test Development role.
You will be working on Enterprise Hard Disk or Flash storage product development projects involving storage protocols such as SAS, SATA, UFS, USB, storage algorithms, automation systems etcLanguage proficiency in some or all of TCL, Python, C, C++ etc.
You will be working closely with the firmware development team to create exhaustive automated test cases for complex product features.
This role involves technical leadership of leading small teams to deliver stated objectives.
Qualifications
6 - 12 years of industry experience in an embedded systems environment
Demonstrate experience creating test strategy, test plan, test cases and/or tools development
proficient in one or more coding/scripting languages (Python//TCL/Perl/C/C++)
Strong aptitude and penchant for problem-solving, failure analysis and debugging skills
Working experience with IDEs like Visual Studio/Pycharm/Eclipse/WinDbg etc.
A sense of ownership to analyze the failure and debug it into firmware/tools code if required
Knowledge of Hard Disk Drives and/or Solid-State Drives (SAS, SATA, PCI-e/NVMe interfaces) is a plus
Knowledge of the Agile framework is a plus
Ability to mentor and lead teams is a great plus
