Principal Accountabilities:
Assists test management to ensure the delivery of testing activities throughout the duration of a project until release
Has hands-on involvement in test activities on several different projects
Prepare high standard test pack comprising of testable functions, sub-functions, test scenarios and cases
Perform daily tests, and involve in defect tracking and preparing test summary reports
Provide regular project status updates to test lead
Work closely with other members of the team, business analysts and team leads
Work effectively with development and project implementation team members
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
Manual testing - Black box testing comprising of Smoke, Functional, System-Integration, Regression and System testing
Excellent understanding and ability to develop tests, run tests, find defects and log defects effectively
Excellent ability to decompose complex business requirements in to test scenarios and cases
Excellent understanding of testing types and methodologies including smoke, compatibility, regression, black box, integration, migration, functional, non-functional, performance, and usability testing
Good exposure towards distinct phases of testing like systems integration, systems testing & user acceptance testing
Ability to quickly understand products/ systems/ architecture business requirements and develop test pack.
Good understanding of test processes.
Experience in testing of the following technologies is desirable but not essential:
Salesforce - Oracle
Clearly report test status with metrics, covering test development, execution, and defects status.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in Automation testing with Selenium or Tosca Desirable skills:
Good understanding of test agile and waterfall methodologies.
Experience of functional, validation, Interface/integration testing.
Strong work experience in preparation of test scenarios, test cases, defect logging, defect management (defect meetings), Test status report generation.
Strong work experience in decomposing the business requirements in to testable functions and sub functions, test scenarios, test cases, defect logging, defect management (defect meetings), Test status report generation
Personal skills:
Ability to communicate effectively with developers/development team, domain experts & project managers.
Willing to take responsibility to own and investigate issues and driving through to resolution.
Evidence of testing complex products where knowledge of the product domain is important.
Ability to multi task between multiple concurrent projects and adapt to project changes.
Good logical evaluation and judgement/decisions. Accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively with remote onshore/offshore teams.
Inquisitive self-starter with passion to drive for excellence and seek to improve testing, processes, and products.
Keen to learn, both creative and pragmatic.
