Your Role and Responsibilities:
Plans, designs, executes, manages and develops testing reports using appropriate tools and techniques.
Ensures that new and amended systems, together with any interfaces, perform as specified together with the business.
Develops, modifies and executes software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing.
Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures.
Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action.
Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
TEST - Base Infra Test Analyst: Proficient in working in Linux environment Experience Non Functional test execution (Resiliency/DR and OAT ) Knowledge on infrastructure testing or security testing.
Ability to analyze the non-functional requirements vs test results (logs review, DB data and System alerts… etc).
Ability to perform in-depth analysis of tests results and work with Developers, Architects and Technical teams to analyse the issues (root cause analysis of non-functional issues).
Knowledge in Infrastructure System management and monitoring tools (Generate periodic reports for environment monitoring).
Exposure to all phases of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) for a software product Nice to have.
Experience in middle ware testing (DB2, MQ, etc).
Test planning (including producing the Test Strategy) and re-planning for all test phases.
Lead test team(s) on a day-to-day basis.
Produce Test Execution Plan for the allotted test phase(s), incorporating test environment and test data requirements.
Manage test execution to remain on schedule as per Test Execution Plan.
Raise issues and risks to the Project Test Manager and/or Project Manager as early as possible.
Produce test status reports for daily and weekly reporting and review with the Project Test Manager before distribution.
Co-ordinate with other teams to complete any specific testing that needs to be performed by those teams or require their support to complete specific testing by the testing team.
Co-ordinate with other teams to understand the results of the testing they will perform.
Test preparation, execution and raising defects.
Defect management from raised to resolution (if no specific defect manager for the project, see Roles and Responsibilities for the Defect Manager).
Attendance of workshops for design, UI and Use Cases.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
Having minimum of 8 years of experience of which at least 5 years of experience in infrastructure testing.
Having minimum of 3 -4 years of Testing experience in any of the Testing Domain like Windows , Linux , VMware , Middleware 's (MQ , DB2 , SQL , WAS).
Having minimum of 3-4 Years of Testing experience and knowledge in any of the Security and Monitoring Tools.
