In this role, you will be part of product development team to manage & deliver new product functionalities, modify existing product’s functionalities or verify product functionalities as required.
The SQA Test Lead II will lead and provide supervision and technical guidance to Manual & Automation software test team in design, testing, and delivery of the products under development/support.
You will work within a multi-disciplined engineering team consisting of electronics engineers, firmware engineers, software engineers, programmers and scientists focusing on applied research and new technology innovations to provide new and improved products and solutions for our customers
How you will do it
Independently owns generating Test plans, Test architecture, Test environment including all necessary hardware’s and test cycles through automated tests or manual test processes.
Works in coordination with technical leads/DM/ EM’s/ Architects on Design, development, testing, support to maintain desired quality levels set by organization
Takes responsibility for making test strategy for Manual / automation testing and have good experience in creating Automation framework from scratch or understand the existing framework and work on it
Ensures Test Setup & Hardware Setup are planned for testing
Takes Ownership, motivates and guide the team when faced with technical challenges.
Review product requirements, NFR’s and design specifications to ensure software development and test plans are aligned with PFS
Focus on process improvements & ensures configuration management is taken care.
Takes immediate and whenever necessary, independent action to resolve issues or problems in a timely manner in co-ordination with EM’s/DM’s.
Investigates new / emerging technologies, innovations, and opportunities, increases Product knowledge to gather Insights.
Participates in innovation activities, facilitate team innovation activities, and motivate team to innovate and try new things.
Conducts knowledge sharing sessions & motivates team/self to participate in external forums to share domain knowledge/ Industry best practices
What we look for
Strong analytical skills and experience with implementation and administration of Software Quality Assurance metrics, such as defect profiles and performance to entry/exit criteria.
Excellent problem solving, interpersonal communication and project management skills a must.
Strong Knowledge of Fire Detection Products, understanding of EN/UL/ULC and associated standards.
Strong knowledge of creating test Setup’s meeting products requirements, NFR’s, emulator/simulators for non-testable features.
Good to have Test Estimation Techniques experience or Project management experience.
Adherence to Cost, Quality and Schedule of assigned projects with a key focus on product quality.
Prepares Test Reports & Summary reports for manual/automation tests, provides improvements on Products features, overall process.
Supervises the team technically by planning, assigning tasks and monitoring progress.
Familiarization with any automation testing and controlled automated environment’s using software tools such as Ranorex, Test complete, Jenkins, JIRA, and C#, WPF
Experience in Python Scripting and Windows SW application testing
Understanding of software analysis, design and testing techniques
Ability to be a team player and possess strong leadership skills
Good Experience in working with AGILE testing methodology
Ability to work in multi-OS environments such as Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android
Ability to create Test JIGs, troubleshoot them, Define Test Automation Framework.
Understanding of BDD/TDD Concepts.
Understanding of cloud services, cloud architecture, most preferably Microsoft azure.
A professional, results oriented individual with a high degree of self-motivation
Education and Preference:
BE (CSE/ECE/EIE/ETC, Instrumentation)
Minimum 13 + years of experience in System testing & application software testing experience or Verification/Validation experience in both Manual and Automation
Experience in Fire Detection products domain including Web/cloud/ Mobile will be an added advantage
Good to Have: ISTQB Certification (Foundation level/ Advanced Level)
Good to have: People Management experience but not necessary
