• Extensive knowledge of software testing processes
• Knowledge & experience of different testing practices/tools
• Ability to lead the testing team for succesfull delivery of the project
Areas of Responsibility:
Requirement understanding & data gathering conferring with business users/product owners
Responsible for setting up testing processes, test tools development and configuration management activities
Familiar with industry standards and certification (e.g. ISO9000), and drives efforts to bring products into conformance with such standards
Evaluates, maintains and improves testing roles and responsibilities within the product development life-cycle
Responsible for functional duties assigned by direct manager
Facilitates the development, implementation and adherence of testing department standards in partnership with other test team leadership.
Evaluates and implements training and development needs for team
Manages team compliance with existing measures for reporting testing efforts
Ensuring training, mentoring and career development of team members
Co-ordinate all testing tasks within team
Knowledge and Skills , exposure (Should have learned during the course of the job.)
Expert in building test strategy & execution of Test Plan, Test Scenarios, Test cases, Test data
Expert in Functional Testing of web applications, mobile apps and APIs
Expert in Automation testing using Selenium / UFT
Expert in Performance testing using Jmeter/Performance Centre
Technical Competencies (Required)
8-10 years of experience in Functional, Automation and Performance testing
Enforces Implementation of best testing practices
Ability to solve issues being faced by testers, can suggest different solutions
Ability to guide, mentor team members in using various tools, technologies
Ability to recognize technical training needs and ensures those are met by the management
Thoroughly understands different testing practices processes, practices
Experience in testing of web/mobile apps, APIs etc
Experience in using CI/CD tools
Through experience in using configuration management tools
