Expecting candidate with Bachelors degree in Engineering, 10 - 12 years of Testing experience with minimum 2 years in managing Teams.
Roles and Responsibilities
Plan, lead, and manage QA engineering team(s) and product release activities. Creation and implementation of Automation Strategies and Frameworks.
An active role in leading a cross functional team, within organization, focused on driving execution from definition through successful release and transfer to other teams.
Provide a leadership role to the core product engineering team of QA professionals, to drive all pertinent issues related to the product development life cycle.
Manage, Motivate and Mentor the QA team to deliver high quality products using Automation
Identify, plan and communicate project scope, tasks, risks and ensure release milestones and objectives are met.
Keep stake holder - development, Architecture and Product Management informed of key issues and changes which may impact expected results.
Analyze problems and drive long term technology solutions to evolve the product scalability, performance and supportability
Participate in planning and managing product releases or project components from automation perspective
Foster and sustain agile testing culture towards faster releases minimizing manual QA
Create a culture of learning, encourage team to pick up technology, domain and process skills required in near and long term
Skill Set
Good problem solving and communication skills
Experience in the areas of testing strategy and testing architecture
Experience in technical consulting with ability to come up with technical solutions for testing problems using best of breed automation tools
Experience in UI automation using software such as – Core Java, Selenium 3.0, Junit / TestNG, Node JS, protractor Or Python skills
Experience in Web services (REST APIs) testing using SOAP UI, Spring Rest template, Rest Assured
Experience in Databases such as MS SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, Postgres, MonetDB, MongoDB
Experience in CD / CI using Jenkins and working with repositories like GIT and SVN
Experience in Test Management & Defect tracking tools
Good to have
Experience in Analytics, Retail domain
Experience in Big Data Testing, Hadoop
Experience in Security Testing (XSS, SQL injection, Session hijacking & etc.)
Experience in Performance Testing using JMeter, Load Runner, WebLoad
Certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, CSQA is a plus
