Job Description

The role of Software Quality Assurance / Testing Management is to ensure the effective planning, control, and coordination of the relevant test program. They ensure adherence to the test methodology and the quality of their direct line reports output through the application of management principles and test and quality assurance methodology. They manage a team of individuals to ensure effective service delivery and adherence to relevant operational requirements.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Works closely with internal clients and project team to ensure the translation of functional requirements into testable scenarios, test cases, and test plans and ensure execution against these enabling the delivery of a robust solution.
Develop and design test cases, ensuring test case coverage and ensuring the preparation of the test environment.
Quality assures and sign off the test plan and test cases and/or data prior to its execution.
Ensure high-quality software releases and keep abreast of current trends in software quality assurance and requirements analysis best practices.
Research and suggest technologies to improve testing tools and development processes.
Coordinate and manage the test plan and partner with the relevant stakeholders to allocate and schedule test resources.
Accountable for the execution of the testing process and reviewing the test progress and ensuring that test results are analyzed and recorded.
Take responsibility for the operational management of the team to ensure the best software releases.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:
Demonstrated understanding of various testing methodologies for Unit, System, Integration, Functional, Regression, Performance and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test principles
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well independently and productively with minimal supervision
Ability to work well in a team environment
Ability to operationally lead and manage a team of specialists
Demonstrated client engagement skills coupled with the ability to conduct presentations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Proactive in approach with have high levels of motivation, being a self-starter with good planning and organizing skills
Methodical and analytical and they have good knowledge of project management principles

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent
Relevant certifications

Required Experience:
Solid team leadership and management experience
Previous experience working as part of quality assurance, test automation team
Experience working with the software development lifecycle
Some experience working as part of an Agile team, using Agile principles and methods
Demonstrable experience with software quality assurance, requirement analysis, and software design
Technical writing experience is required
