Responsible for Test automation, Manual Testing and Performance Test for few applications.
Create test plans, test strategy, Daily Test Progress Reports and Test Completion Status Updates.
Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback (Backlog review).
Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
Estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating quality testing activities within a scrum when working with Agile teams.
Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source and / or relevant tools.
Test data / Environment setup in-coordination with upstream / downstream teams.
Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
Setup and execute nightly automated regression packs on daily builds.
Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products / application to meet client needs.
Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions.
Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities, test coverage and open defect counts.
Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
Define, advocate, and implement best practices and coding standards of the team.
Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans.
Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software.
Provide authoritative advice and guidance on any aspect of test planning and execution.
Support Quality Assurance Management in determining status, assessing problem areas, suggesting and reviewing corrective actions, directing / planning necessary extra work, and rework and re-plan activities.
Identify test automation opportunities and work with the teams on execution of such plans.
Perform technical and test execution activities as required.
Contribute to program / project review meetings.
Monitor debugging process results.
Our Ideal Candidate
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field.
5 years of hands-on design / development experience in core Java 8.0.
4 - 8 years of functional and non-functional testing experience in complex projects, preferably in banking.
3 - 4 years experience in building Test Automation, Performance, Regression frameworks.
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
Hands-on experience with Non-functional Testing e.g. performance, security.
Good organisation skills, an attention to detail and an enquiring mind are essential.
Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software.
Ability to achieve stretch goals and handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Exposure to DevOps tool sets and techniques (e.g. Atlassian Bamboo).
Exposure to trade processing applications such as APEX, Bloomberg TOMS.
Experience in Agile methodology.
Strong communication skills.
