Test Manager plays a central role in the Team to ensure that the team produces good quality product in the competitive market.The Test Manager takes full responsibility for the project’s success. The role involves quality & test advocacy, resource planning & management, and resolution of issues that impede the testing effort.
The Test Lead / Manager is responsible for:
Building up and leading the Testing Team to the success of project
Defining the scope of testing within the context of each release / delivery
Deploying and managing resources for testing
Applying the appropriate test measurements and metrics in the product and the Testing Team
Planning, deploying and managing the testing effort for any given engagement.
The Test Manager must understand how testing fits into the organizational structure, in other words, clearly define its role within the organization.
This position would involve continued evaluation of test cases for inclusion in test regression, test coverage and automation of newly implemented functionality, and development of tools to enable QA efficiencies. The Test Manager will also work closely with Software Developers & Product Owners to form and follow quality procedures, standards and specifications ensuring they are met and deliver the highest quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Test Manager is also responsible to develop and maintain new and existing Testing automation frameworks.
Core/Must have skills
Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Engineering, Business or Technology preferred.
Experience in software development and testing- Functional and Non Functional testing, Manual and Automation testing.
Excellent knowledge in STLC process - creating, maintaining and executing automation/functional test plans, writing test scripts against software platforms, communicating test results, tracking defects and participating in day to day QA activities.
Knowledge of test methodologies and their corresponding tools such as Jira, HP ALM, RTC..etc.
Good understanding of Agile methodology and Agile ceremonies.
Team oriented attitude and experience working seamlessly with geographically distributed teams while maintaining highest standard in collaboration and communication across the QA/DEV and Business teams.
Self-motivated, self-driven, own and consider him/herself accountable for timely completion of QA deliverables.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem-solving skills with great attention to details.
Good to have skills
Experience with Selenium, Python, Java (Eclipse),Visual Basic/VB Script, Test NG, BDD framework for test automation preferred.
Hands on experience on SQL (Analytical Functions and complex queries), SQL developer and TOAD.
Experience in Financial domain and knowledge of, financial securities, and trading principles is highly desirable.
