As a QA Manual Accessibility Tester, you will be responsible for testing software applications to ensure they are accessible to users with disabilities. You will work with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve accessibility issues, ensuring that our products meet industry standards and comply with regulations.
Responsibilities:
Conduct manual accessibility testing using industry-standard tools and methodologies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accessibility requirements are met
Test software applications across multiple platforms and devices
Identify, document, and report accessibility issues and defects
Provide guidance and recommendations to development teams for resolving accessibility issues
Participate in agile development processes and attend sprint planning and retrospective meetings
Stay up-to-date on industry standards and regulations related to accessibility testing
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
2+ years of experience in manual accessibility testing
Knowledge of accessibility testing tools and methodologies
Familiarity with web accessibility standards and regulations, including WCAG 2.1, Section 508, and ADA
Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Familiarity with agile development processes and methodologies
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with assistive technologies such as screen readers, magnifiers, and voice recognition software
Familiarity with accessibility testing tools such as JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver
Experience with testing mobile applications for accessibility
Knowledge of international accessibility standards and regulations
