Position Overview:

You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our APIs. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing API test strategies, with a focus on leveraging Postman for test automation. Additionally, foundational knowledge of AWS will be essential for collaborating with our cloud-based infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement comprehensive API test plans and strategies.

2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand API requirements and ensure test coverage.

3. Design, create, and execute automated tests using Postman for API testing.

4. Establish and maintain test environments, ensuring compatibility with AWS infrastructure.

5. Identify and report defects, working closely with development teams to resolve issues.

6. Conduct performance and scalability testing for APIs.

7. Stay current with industry best practices and advancements in API testing and automation.

8. Collaborate with AWS teams to ensure seamless integration of API tests with cloud-based services.

9. Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.

Qualifications:

1.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

2.Minimum of 4 years of experience these areas.

3.Proven experience as an API Test Engineer, with expertise in API testing tools, particularly Postman.

4.Technically strong programming and scripting skills (e.g., JavaScript, Python) for test automation.

5.Solid understanding of AWS services and infrastructure.

6.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration with testing frameworks.

7.Familiarity with SQL and relational DBs.

8.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

9.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

10.Experience with various test management solutions for both manual and automated tests.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Relevant certifications in API testing and AWS.

2. Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

3. Knowledge of security testing for APIs.

4. Familiarity with GraphQL.
