Job Description

Requirements:
• Bachelor degree in information systems or computer science
• Rest/SOAP API knowledge related to web based microservice applications
• Experience of UI testing
• Fully well verse with testing methodologies and work on it independently.
• Gather requirements and prepare/update Test Plan• Acumen to identify issues in beginning of Development life cycle
• Knowledge of test tools like postman, J-Meter,SOAP-UI, TOSCA or any other relevant tool to test API’s
• Good knowledge of Atlassian toolchain (eg• JIRA, Confluence, Zephyr)
• Good understanding of tools like bitbucket, GITLAB
• Worked in SCRUM teams and fully well versed with its terminology and management tools like JIRA
• Excellent communication skills to communicate, collaborate freely with onsite and offsite counterparts
• Good hands-on experience in Rest-Assured, Core Java (Added Advantage)
• Working knowledge of automation using selenium or any open source tool (Good to Have)
• Performance testing knowledge (Good to have)

Brief
In this role you will be involved with multilocation diverse client working on niche technologies as Quality assurance expert to make there products bug free and enhace user experience through high quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilites
As a QA engineer, responsibility includes verification of microservices developed as part of clients core solutions• After understanding requirements one must be able to create test strategy, test cases and do end to end testing• Effectively communicating bugs and issues to development team and ensure minimal defects raised from production is key aspect of this role• As a part of continous integration and testing person must be able to effectively create automation test using tools like postman, TOSCA or selenium webdriver for UI products and merge code/scripts in CI/CD pipeline using Gitlab or store them in common git repositories• Work allocation is done using JIRA and SCRUM framework so knowledge of AGILE and SCRUM management tool JIRA is mandatory• Apart from these technical skills person should be well verse with effective communication verbal as well as behavioral with good analytical skills• Early idenitification of issues in collaboration with SCRUM team will be a differentiator.
