Desired experience:
1. 10-12 years of total industry experience.
2. 5 to 8 years of experience in Quality Assurance or software development and/or quality engineering
3. Hold hands-on experience in Test Frameworks, Automation Tools
4. Must be well versed and up to date with QA Technical aspects, market trends and latest Test Tooling and framework.
5. Must have worked as a People manager for 3+Years handling a team of 10 - 15 members
6. 4 years of experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies (SAFe)
7. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering.
8. Must have experience working on variety of technologies:
a. Automation: Selenium and various frameworks around it, BDD
b. Technology knowledge: Java, JavaScript
c. Test Infra: Deployment Manager tools (Jenkins or similar), OpenShift, Dockers & Kubernetes, Github, BitBucket, CI/CD principles
d. Testing APIs, products in cloud environments (Microsoft Azure)
e. Defect and Test management tools, metrics, KPIs etc.
Key Accountabilities
1. Must have experience managing a team of 12 - 15 members including QA Engineers, SDET engineers, Senior QA, product definition engineers.
2. Work closely with Global Engineering and Agile and Infrastructure teams and business stakeholders to review and implement test strategies.
3. Define KPI’s and metrics for the quality engineering teams through tracking and reports.
4. Define Clear Vision/roadmap of the team which is inline with the Cytric team objectives
5. Understand and deploy effective QA processes & Governance to assure better product Quality
6. Drive test engineering excellence in automation with special techniques like- Shift left, Test components independently, Test Early, fail early and most important Testing in phases and Test Pyramid
7. Responsible for recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling the Staff.
8. Works with a high level of autonomy, with minimal guidance from Senior Management
9. Acts as a reference across multiple areas, anticipating solutions to complex problems.
10. Optimizes efficiency based on knowledge and experience with the policies, procedures, and business plan.
11. Must possess a solution-oriented mindset, converting problems to solutions.
12. Must have experience in Quality Assurance and Engineering (Automation, Test Infrastructure and tooling, framework selection and performance testing)
13. Maintain career paths for Quality Assurance and Engineering staff (both managerial and individual contributor tracks)
14. Operate in an agile software delivery methodology focused on testing new features within an iteration and providing near immediate feedback to engineers through test automation
15. Contribute to and help maintain the testing framework for various types of testing (functional, performance, accessibility, visual) on multiple platforms
16. Attract, develop, and retain high performing talented software quality engineers
Additional Accountabilities
1. Accountability for product definition engineers who will also be reporting to the person in this
role. Ability to understand the evolve functional product requirements for Cytric.
2. Product Definition Engineers similar to the Business Analysts, play a very important role in the
scrum teams. They play a key role in understanding the business needs and translating it to
requirements for the Scrum Team for execution.
