Job Description

Responsibilities:
Work within a dynamic team of quality assurance engineers, collaborating with product managers, business analysis, and application developers
Assure quality and stability of Adenza software solutions by understanding business and functional requirements and designing test cases to ensure the correctness of implementation and capture defects within the solution under minimal supervision
Moderate complexity tasks based on the regulatory, design, and testing guidelines where you are expected to exercise good judgment in determining appropriate actions, under minimal supervision
Execution of functional and regression test cases and testing corrections of regulatory changes, bugs, and enhancements as part of regular releases as well as when delivering client hotfixes 
After initial tests are complete, test functionality and performance on different platforms (Sybase, MSSQL, etc.) based on project demands determined by PM 
Document test strategies, test plans, and test scenarios and maintain the test management system under the lead’s minimal supervision

Skills And Requirements
1+ years of QA experience (preferably in the fintech field) 
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer science, Engineering, or a related field 
Knowledge of Jira, Quality Centre, Zephyr, Xray 
Ability to read mid-complexity BRD documents and design test cases under the supervision 
Ability to perform complex setups and configurations to execute test cases 
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability with high attention to detail 
Good verbal and written communication skills in English 
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word 
Solid foundation in quality assurance processes, best practices, and methodologies 
Good understanding of the phases of SDLC and release management process 
Exposure to Agile and Waterfall software delivery methodologies 
Experience with various phases of the test lifecycle (test planning, test case development, test execution, defect tracking) 
Must be a fast learner, self-motivated, team player, and collaborator 
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage a varied workload to meet deadlines with autonomy, maintain both composures and focus under pressure and escalate when appropriate 
Experience working with large data sets 
Experience with SQL Queries 
Basic Knowledge of Linux/Unix 
Ability to form a good understanding of the specific product’s function based on information provided by BAs and SMEs 
Experience with regulatory documentation is a plus 
Ability to make sound decisions against business requirements, guidelines, and testing processes 
Experience in financial services, accounting, capital markets, or fintech, is a plus
