Provide the foundation for building test cases and the execution of manual test cases.
Under general supervision, develop, modify, and enhance existing Manual test cases, databases, and software documentation to meet customer needs. Be able to demonstrate the tested features to all the Stakeholders.
Establish computer testing, simulation, and evaluation procedures; test environment setup using Putty for Unix/Linux based application along with git commands, handling SQL queries for database side validations, identify and help automated testing team with new features manually tested; and perform other related work as necessary. This position also provides feedback on the products being tested and works closely with development and Product team to resolve product quality issues.
What You Need to Succeed:
B.E/B.Tech/B.S in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) with 1 – 3 years of strong experience in Software QA Engineering.
Having very good experience in Manual testing & writing SQL queries, preferably from Product companies.
Preferably from ERP and/or e-commerce background and having exposure to Adobe Magento 2 is a great plus.
Having experience with tools like Jira and Zephyr is essential for effective project management and test case management in software development and testing processes.
Very good experience in designing Manual test cases.
Ability to analyze detail design specifications, provide feedback, and perform the work required from the design.
Analyzes requirements and clarify scope and breadth of work with business analysts and product managers.
Reviews scripts and performs an adequate level of testing to ensure quality standards are attained.
Learns and employs knowledge of the business segment targeted by the software application.
Efficient in effort estimation, planning, prioritization, and time management.
High attention to detail and should be a very good team player.
Excellent Communication, Presentation, and Inter-personal skills.
Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction.
Additional Skills That Could Set You Apart:
Strong technical skills and logic are required.
Hands-on experience in Automation testing with Selenium along with good Product experience is a plus.
Strong in Troubleshooting, deployment and debugging skills.
Knowledge/hands-on experience on non-functional testing/ Performance testing.
Working on Windows application will be an added advantage.
